The more I moved, the tighter the rope got
Tyrone and I were best friends since we were 15 years old. Tyrone told me his wife was a little upset. She had a good reason.
In 2021, Tyrone came by and wanted to be friends again. This started me thinking about the past.
Tyrone and Teresa
Teresa was elegant and refined. The kind of woman that glided in heels. Tyrone was a nice accessory to Teresa’s style.
They met in college during the fall of 1986. Tyrone was 22, and Teresa was 24.
They started dating, but Tyrone did not want to be in a committed relationship. When he could not find a girl for the night, he would always go and stay with Theresa. Teresa always let him in.
Around November 1986, Teresa became pregnant.
In the spring of 1987, Tyrone moved in with Teresa. Right before the fall semester of 1987, Teresa had her baby girl.
No, Tyrone never worked. Teresa’s family paid the rent and paid for the food. So, Tyrone never had to work.
One night, Tyrone decided he wanted to have some fun. The problem was that they had no money, and the house had little food. What they did have was some money to buy their baby girl formula.
Tyrone took the money, the only money they had, the money to buy food for their baby, and went to the bars to have some fun.
Tyrone came home kind of drunk and went straight to bed. In the middle of the night, Theresa woke him up, and Tyrone found himself tied up.
Tyrone was tied up in such a way that the more he moved, the tighter the rope got around his neck.
Tyrone and I laughed about it, he never did this again, but it did not stop him from cheating.
When Teresa would visit her parents, Tyrone would bring girls to the house, where he would take nude pictures of them in their bed, and then Tyrone would mail the pictures to his friends.
In December of 1987, Teresa and Tyrone got married. However, Tyrone showed up late to the wedding because he wanted to spend a little more time with his girlfriend.
People said that when Tyrone showed up at the wedding, he smelled like sex.
Tyrone did not have enough respect for Teresa to take a shower before the wedding.
During the summer of 1987, Teresa became pregnant again, but this time she and Tyrone decided to spend her pregnancy at Teresa’s parents’ house.
Tyrone would stay home and watch the kids when Teresa and her parents were gone to work. However, while the kids were asleep for their afternoon nap, Tyrone had other women in the house. Women he met days earlier at a bar.
In 1988, Teresa’s parents got sick of Tyrone and kicked him out. However, Tyrone told everyone that he and Teresa got a divorce.
While riding the bus, Tyrone met a girl named Efuma, and she was beautiful.
Efuma lived with her brother in an upper-middle-class neighborhood in a beautiful house.
Efuma was trying to finish college. Efuma and Tyrone married within a month after they met. However, Tyrone never got a divorce from Theresa.
Efuma said that right after she and Tyrone got married, they open up a joint checking account. Efuma deposited $200, and within four days, all the money was gone. Tyrone never put any money into that bank account.
Three weeks after the money was gone, Tyrone went back to Theresa. However, he told Efuma that he was going back to college to finish his degree.
Tyrone never tells anyone that he was arrested and convicted of theft and fraud within six months after he started college in 1983. Tyrone never made it past his freshman year.
Thus, it was not Tyrone that was going back to finish his degree. It was Teresa who was going back to finish her degree.
Tyrone told Teresa that on the weekends, he needed to go back to the city for work.
Tyrone told Efuma that he needed to be back at school to finish his degree, that most of his classes were at night, which is why he could only call her during the day.
Teresa found out about Efuma. Teresa and her mother went to Efuma’s house to confront her, and this is when and how Efuma found out that Tyrone was married. Even today, Efuma never heard from Tyrone.
Efuma is now happily married with kids.
Theresa had Tyrone arrested for bigamy but dropped the charges after a few days. Like always, she took Tyrone back.
Where were Theresa’s self-respect and dignity? Who knows?
After this, Theresa’s parents said that if Theresa wanted to be with Tyrone, she can pay for everything on her own and that they were not going to pay (rent, food, etc.) for a lowdown S.O.B.
Theresa and Tyrone got an apartment together.
Remember, Tyrone never worked.
Theresa had to walk 1–1/2 miles in the snow to catch a bus, which would take two hours, one way, just for her to get to work.
On Fridays, Theresa would get home around 8:00 pm, and by 9:00 pm, Tyrone would be gone. Theresa would not see him until Monday or Tuesday.
On Monday, Theresa would call all of Tyrone’s friends, asking where her husband was. They all told her they had not seen him.
Tyrone would tell Theresa that he was out with his best friend Todd, his cousin Sean, or Roger. The truth is that Tyrone was not with any of them, and none of them knew who he was with. None of them wanted any part of that mess.
Highlights of Tyrone:
1989, Tyrone committed ID theft on his younger brother.
1990, Tyrone committed ID theft on his best friend (me), who called the police and had Tyrone arrested.
The 90s.
Tyrone got two cars in his other brother’s name, where both were repossessed. When this brother got out of the army, he could not buy a car because he already had two repossessions in his name.
Tyrone got a DUI, but the driver’s license he gave the police had Tyrone’s picture, but it had his third brother’s information. Tyrone never showed up for court, so they came and arrested Tyrone’s brother.
Tyrone would get arrested and convicted, wait the two years until his probation was over, then start his criminal activities all over again.
Tyrone got arrested so many times in the 90s, in 1999, Tyrone was worried that this time he would go to prison. Instead, the court gave him a long probation.
However, being on probation did not stop Tyrone from cheating. He gave Theresa STDs on two separate occasions. Remember, Tyrone never worked.
The 20s.
In the 20s, Tyrone got off his probation, and he started his criminal activities all over again.
Tyrone got arrested and convicted again, and this time the court gave Tyrone 3 years in prison.
When Tyrone got out of prison, he stayed at his cousin’s house. His cousin had a job where he would be gone for 9 months. During this time, Tyrone opened a $10,000 line of credit in his cousin’s name and had a good time.
The week before his cousin got back, Tyrone got a girlfriend and moved into her house.
Tyrone’s girlfriend’s house had a lot of trash in the basement. Tyrone hired one of his friends to move out the trash. Tyrone asked this friend to charge his girlfriend a lot more than what the job would cost, and they would split the extra cash.
The friend could not believe Tyrone asked him to do something like that. The friend did not do it.
Tyrone’s girlfriend’s garage got damaged, and no one knows how. His girlfriend submitted a claim to her insurance. The check from the insurance company to fix the garage never arrived.
Many believe Tyrone will put a drug in your drink, and while you are messed up, he would use his phone to take pictures of your ID and credit cards. Why do we believe this? Because many have only experienced this after being around Tyrone.
Tyrone Married his girlfriend, so I guess he found another Theresa. However, Tyrone said she has stage 4 cancer, but not to worry because there is a stage 5, so she should be OK.
